DARCEY REID

I began my art practice during my senior year at Oxley High School, where I completed the HSC Visual Arts program. My final project featured a series of five digital mixed media pieces that expressed the decline in my mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2022, I moved to Newtown, Sydney, to pursue a Diploma of Fine Arts at St George School of Fine Arts, TAFE. My time there allowed me to experiment with various mediums, including oil paint and printmaking, which expanded my artistic skills and vision. I was fortunate to showcase my work in a graduation exhibition, a milestone that further fueled my passion for art.

Currently, I reside in Canterbury and work as an educator at Newtown Kids Cottage.
