JASMINE RAISBECK

I am an emerging figurative painter from Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia.

As a female artist, primarily working with oil paint, I draw inspiration from my experiences as a woman and mother, as well as the lives of those closest to me, including my children. I’m a self-taught artist with a background in journalism and TV production, which gives me a unique perspective in my work. My years of storytelling have sharpened my observational skills, and through my art, I aim to capture the human experience, finding beauty in the everyday moments I share with my family.

My painting ‘Three in the Bath’ features an intimate scene of me and my two children bathing. This work explores the concept of our interiors serving as a conduit for human connection. The painting captures the quiet connection between mother and child during the daily ritual of bathing. It aims to reveal how these small, everyday moments at home shape the deeper bonds that define our lives.
