JULES HARRIS
When I recall rooms from my past it is the incidentals that I remember, a favourite chair, an old vase, the colour of a wall, sunlight peeking through curtains.
We live most of our lives in a series of interior spaces, and I think this is why in art they are so evocative of both the deeply personal and the shared experience.
Printmaking takes me to a meditative space, in my studio away from the outside world I can concentrate deeply, reflect and dream.
My prints of interiors are a kaleidoscope of remembered and symbolic images where colour and pattern set a mood and are central design components.
