Tamworth local Gabrielle Collins presents new oil paintings, featuring landscapes from Tasmania to Lord Howe Island.

As Collins passes through a landscape, urban or otherwise, she is aware of the elements of light and composition that are constantly changing, with endless possibilities for transformation into a 2D medium.

Her challenge is to capture the essence of a place at a certain time of day by manipulating and experimenting with tone, colour and  mark making.
