Mim Fluhrer returns for her second exhibition with Weswal Gallery, Treasure Chest.

Based on the Mid North Coast, Mim draws inspiration from nature, memory, motherhood, and the journey of being human, her canvases steeped in rich colours and painterly, honest expression.

Mim received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School in 2009. She has been a selected finalist in the Paddington Art Prize and the National Emerging Artist Prize multiple times, and has work held in private collections all over the world. Last year Mim collaborated with revered Australian label, Nancy Bird, to produce a beautiful clothing range featuring her paintings.

Mim Fluhrer CV

Treasure Chest is a collection of works that I have gathered and joined to become a story about making the ordinary extraordinary. A value I delight in everyday with my daughter. A golden palm in the afternoon haze, the first maple leaf welcoming autumn, the mist that is slow to leave in the morning, learning about where we come from and stories of our ancestors, and a good dance on the loungeroom floor. These are moments that bring the magic. These are the treasures in our lives.

Mim Fluhrer ‘Treasure Chest’ is showing at Weswal Gallery from 2 - 27 April 2025
