Sculptural Ceramics in Formation

Peter Toth is a multi-disciplined ceramic artist whose work is renowned for

its innovative approach to sculptural forms. Peter studied at Box Hill

Technical College from 1988-91, earning a Certificate in Applied Arts with a

focus on ceramics, followed by an Associate Diploma of Art and Design

with a major in Finished Art Ceramics. His education laid the foundation

for a unique artistic vision that blends technical skill with imaginative

exploration.

Peter’s work has been acquired by institutions such as Box Hill TAFE and

Box Hill Council, as well as international collectors in Japan. His ceramics

are also featured in numerous private collections.

Over the years, Peter has showcased his art through numerous group and

solo exhibitions across Melbourne’s art centers and galleries. More recently,

his work was featured at Weswal Gallery and Tamworth Regional Gallery,

reflecting his continued evolution and focus in the field of ceramics.

Peter Toth’s sculptures invite viewers to explore the intricate relationship

between form and texture, capturing the essence of natural rock

formations through the medium of clay.
